ARK's Y-Chew® Oral Motor Chew – Available in Three Colour-Coded Toughness Levels

This is an oral motor chew tool made out of chewy but resilient material.

Useful features of the Y chew include -

  • Use as an oral fidget toy for children who need lots of sensory input
  • Quickly becomes a safe alternative to chewing on hands, knuckles, shirts, pencils and siblings etc.
  • Can help to manage tooth-grinding and/or thumb-sucking
  • Builds oral strength, mobility and control
  • Actively exercises the lips, tongue, cheeks and especially the jaw allowing the mouth to learn and grow strong through oral exploration
  • Enables children the  opportunity to practice biting/chewing without the risk of choking
  • Also satisfies the urge to chew for individuals who are fed through a g-tube

Technical Information - ARK's Y shaped handle measures 2 1/2 " (6.3cm) and the extensions measure 1 3/4" (4.5cm) and 1 1/4" (3.5cm) respectively

Important note about choosing the correct colour for your child

Standard - This is the softest level, recommended for mild chewers (those who do not generally chew through anything). It is also suitable for individuals with low oral tone, or those with limited jaw strength who are just learning to bite and chew

Medium XT - This is the middle level, which is called XT ("Xtra Tough"). It's firmer, but still fairly chewy, recommended for moderate chewers

Very Firm XXT - This is the toughest level, which is called XXT ("Xtra Xtra Tough"). It still has some “chewability” to it, but it’s fairly rigid/pretty firm. No chew tool is indestructible, but this is usually the longest lasting level for avid chewers

Note -This product is not a toy. Although these chew tools are sturdy and durable, no chew tool is indestructible. Wear and tear may be expected given the nature of the intended use. While for some people a chew tool will last forever, for others with heavy/aggressive oral needs, they may go through it very quickly. Please supervise at all times, regularly inspect the chew, and replace if necessary if the item starts to show signs of wear and tear

Ordering and shipping

Please NOTE that only ONE Y shaped oral tool is supplied in a colour and toughness level of your choice. The group photo is for illustration of colours only. Choose your option from the drop-down menu above. Colour hues may vary slightly
