Around the World, Pack 1 Snap and Matching Pairs Card Deck
This clever card deck allows children to enjoy two fun ways of learning about new countries. Either by playing snap or matching pairs.
Please note, however, that this is not a traditional snap game. There is more to it. Instead of just snaping matching images, you have to snap a counrty to it's capital city or or a country with it's flag for example. The aim is to expand your child's knowledge about a certain country as well as introducing new geography concepts. It will test them more than just playing an ordinary game of snap. This is where the value of the game is. Matching pairs is more straightforward.
The countries covered in this first pack include: Australia, Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Chile, China, Egypt, India, Isreal, New Zealand, Russia and the United States.
How to play snap:
To play Snap, all you have to do is match a country to an association, i.e the name of its capital city.
How to play matching pairs:
In order to play pairs, simply turn all the cards upside down. Then turn two over at a time to see if they match. If they do then you keep them, if not you turn them back face down with the aim to collect all the cards. This is a great concentration game for kids as the colourful images are easy to remember.
