Brainbox Space Memory Game
This brilliant visual recall game can be played at home or at school amongst friends and family. The aim is to test your observational skills and memory recall in 10 second rounds where you study a subject card about The World and then answer a question. (This can be increased if you want to make the game easier).
The subject cards feature intriguing pictures that ask you to memorise as much information about an aspect of Space such as the planets, the solar system, constellations, astronauts and space missions. As you play it will turn into a fun science quiz that supports the teaching of the Earth and Space topic in year 5 and progressing into the Space Physics topic at Key Stage 3. It's an educational game for kids that they really won't mind playing.
Example questions may include: who orbited the moon for 21 hours alone? How many astronauts were in the Apollo 2 crew?
How to play:
There are 71 cards in the Brainbox Space game pack. The object of the game is to study a chosen card for 10 seconds and then answer a question. For younger children, you can drop or extend the timer to give them more time for their memory recall to kick in. If your child answers correctly, they can keep the card. In a game of more than one player, the winner is the child who has the most cards.
