ARK’s proSpoon® TEXTURED Feeding Utensil - Available in 2 Sizes

ARK's proSpoon™ Textured has that same spoon bowl shape that we know and love from the Z-Vibe Tip, but it is now available as a standalone non-vibratory spoon.

Developed by Debbie Lowsky, MS, CCC-SLP, the proSpoon Textured supports easy feeding and food removal. The size and shape of the spoon bowl are "just right" - big enough to hold an appropriate amount of food, but small enough to prevent the spoon from being overloaded.

Features of the ARK proSpoon Textured include –

• Available in two sizes for babies/infants and children/adults
• Bowl shape supports easy feeding and food removal
• Textured surface on the back of the spoon bowl helps with the transition from smooth to textured foods
• Texture also stimulates tongue and lower lip and facilities tongue stability
• The spoon can be bent slightly to make the handle curved - to make self-feeding easier
• Please note that all proSpoons are of the same toughness level – they are rigid but have some flexibility, in case the user has a bite reflex and bites down on the spoon
• This proSpoon does NOT vibrate

Technical Information –

The proSpoon is available in two size options –

• SMALL – Spoon bowl approximately 1.4” x 0.75” (3cm x 1.9cm). The is the best size for infants and toddlers, up to about 3 years old. Works best with pureed foods and yoghurt
• LARGE – Spoon bowl measures approximately 1.75” x 1” (4.4cm x 2.5cm). This is the best size for older children and adults, it is a little smaller than a regular spoon

Choice

One proSpoon of your choice is supplied; please select your choice using the drop-down boxes. The small spoon measures 14cm long and the large spoon measures 15.5cm long. Dishwasher safe

Safety - This proSpoon is a feeding spoon, not a chew tool. Although these feeding spoons are made out of sturdy medical grade materials, they are not indestructible. Some individuals (particularly those with heavier oral needs and those who bite or chew more aggressively) may be able to damage the feeding spoon. Please supervise at all times and replace if necessary when the item shows signs of wear and tear.
