ARK's Sip-Tip® makes drinking easier for beginners and/or any individual with oral motor difficulties. Each straw features a unique one-way valve that controls the direction of fluid - liquid flows up into the straw, but does not flow back down. Simply suck until fluid reaches the top of the straw and release - fluid will stay at the top of the straw, thereby decreasing the effort required to drink. Users can also be helped by "pumping" the fluid up the straw using the flexible lid. Simply cover the vent hole with your finger and press down several times until the liquid reaches the desired height.

A full straw also reduces the air ingested, so users experience less coughing and choking while consuming more fluids. The Sip-Tip can be recommended for individuals who tend to aspirate.

The discrete design of the Sip-Tip is geared towards older children, adults and the elderly. The lid snaps on securely to minimize spillage, and the rigid, high-quality tumbler has graduated marks on its side to monitor fluid intake. The Lip Blok® prevents individuals from biting on the straw or putting it too far into their mouths. It can also help to decrease tongue protrusion and promote correct tongue and lip positioning.

• 10 One-Way straws, each featuring a built-in valve
• 1 Yellow Lip Blok® Straw Topper (3/4")

The Sip-Tip tumbler holds approximately 8 ounces of fluid (225ml). The cup measures approximately 2" at the base x 3" at the top x 4.5" tall (5cm x 7.5cm x 11.5cm)

Made from medical grade materials that are FDA compliant - free from BPA, latex, lead, phthalates and PVC

Please Note -

• Not recommended for carbonated beverages
• Recommended for thin liquids (water, milk, juice without pulp, etc)
• If you're using thickened liquids, in general for most thickener brands: "nectar" consistency works fine. "Honey" will work but will be harder to suck through the straw. "Pudding" does not work, as it's too thick to drink through even a regular straw without a valve.
